    What does the role involve?

    • Own the strategy, communication and delivery of PPC campaigns for one of the agency’s key accounts including overall responsibilities for meeting client marketing objectives and KPI’s.
    • Manage senior client relationships and oversee day-to-day communication with the client.

    Business Development Manager – (Power Technologies and the Renewable Energy Industry)

     

    Our London based Blue Chip client seeks an experienced Business Development manager with the following must have skills and experience

     

    Min of 5 years of commercial experience in a similar BDM role within power technologies and the renewable energy industry

     

    Key knowledge

    • Knowledge of Business Development processes.
    • Knowledge of Mergers and Acquisitions and Project Financing.
    • Knowledge of project economics and the impact on project returns

     

    Skills

    • High level of financial literacy and numeracy with ability to understand and incorporate financial concepts into models
    • Tenacity and drive to see BD projects through to successful financial completion.
    • The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external colleagues.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation and negotiation skills
    • Demonstrated computer literacy; including internet, Excel, Word, etc.

     

    Experience Required

    • 3-5 years relevant experience working either in M&A (industry or boutique), Investment Banking, Project Financing, Private Equity or large Accounting or Legal firm
    • Experience of / exposure to debt restructuring, term sheets and equity structuring is desirable
    • Experience of modelling process is desirable.

     

    Qualifications Required

    Completed Masters in Economics, Finance or similar

     

    Candidate must be flexible to travel in London and to the EMEA

    Job title Project Manager

     

    Overall purpose of job To plan, organise and control activities so that all projects are completed successfully on time, to cost and to quality specifications

     

    Responsible to Global Operations Director

     

    Main Duties and Accountabilities

     

    • Reporting to the Global Operations Director to give progress of assigned projects.
    • Project tasks; including project start review. Whilst running project ensuring we meet time, cost and functionality of multiple projects.
    • Project close review to check margins, continually ensuring the project meets our ISO9000 requirement , as well as various EC Directives
    • To manage the projects on site, and ensure we comply to site safety (site safety supervisor qualification an advantage) needed to work on site in UK, abroad.

     

     

    Person Specification

    • Degree qualified
    • Knowledge of Prince would be desirable.
    • Sufficient experience to be able to see issues early
    • Good communicator and ability to work as part of a team.
    • Ability to work with difficult and not so difficult customers!
    • Motivated with a positive attitude and determination to ensure projects are driven forward
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel & Prince
    • Flexible to a hands on approach as and when necessary.
    • Ideally living up to a 20 mile radius.
    • European languages will be beneficial
    • General active attitude to life, but ability to stay calm when needed

     

    Working knowledge and experience

    The candidate is expected to have a strong knowledge of general engineering and the issues which bring projects together on time, especially with concurrent activity. A wide understanding of the 3 engineering disciplines is needed as the projects include, mechanical (hydraulic), electronic control, and civil engineering for foundation and seismic base design. The candidate should understand basic project accounting, profit & loss, margins etc.

    • Experience of running projects at home and abroad
    • Sense of urgency to push project onwards
    • Liaison with in-house production team, subcontractors and suppliers.
    • Liaising with customers and overseeing installations will require travel.
    • Understanding of EC legislation : Machinery Directive.

    Responsible to                        Lead Project Engineer/Operations Director

    • Lead implementation of projects in-house and on-site (UK and overseas) to ensure efficient delivery of projects within time and cost parameters.
    • Deliver projects under guidance of the Lead Project Engineer.
    • Responsible for in-house testing, calibration and specification compliance.
    • Responsible for on-site installation, testing and calibration.
    • Documenting and reporting systems status, primarily when working on-site, on a regular basis or as required.
    • Fault finding on systems as required.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO9001, EC Machinery Directive and Health and Safety requirements.
    • Attend project launch meetings as required.
    • Liaise with all departments as required.
    • Provide customer support as required, both on-site and remotely.
