    DevOps/Service Reliability Engineer

    Job Description

    Contract to Permanent DevOps/Service Reliability Engineer required.

    Our Essex based client seeks an experienced DevOps/Service Reliability Engineer with the following must have skills and experience:

    Min of 3 years of commercial experience working within a DevOps environment(s).

    Tech Stack: Azure Devops. Git. Docker. AKS. Helm. Prometheus. Redis. SQL.

    Key skills required

    • CI/CD.
    • Container management using Docker and Kubernetes
    • Scalable services like AWS, GCP or Azure.
    • Cloud infrastructure.
    • Scripting
    • Automation

     

    • Training will be provided for missing items.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure high availability of our SaaS application.
    • Change management.
    • Monitoring of application and cloud infrastructure.
    • Available for Emergency response.
    • Performance contribution.
    • Capacity planning
    • Define auto scaling rules
    • Documentation

    Knowledge and experience

    • Understand the DevOps organisational culture.
    • Experience with Microsoft’s Technology stack.
    • Experience with automation tools like Chef, Jenkins, Puppet etc.
    • Prometheus.
    • Powershell, Bash, Python Java etc.
    • Infrastructure as Code. ARM; az cli; Terraform.

    Our client is offering an initial 3 month contract and then going permanent thereafter.

    Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be eligible to live and work in the UK without any restriction.

    Remote Working Contract Digital Project Manager required.

    Our Buckinghamshire based client seeks an experienced Digital Project Manager.

    As a digital project manager, you will be tech savvy and responsible for the day-2-day management of a variety of digital projects and operations. Therefore, you will be involved with website and app design and development, online tools, email design and social media management and other digital related projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project manage the design, build, testing and release of complex multi-country digital applications for the organisations’ clients
    • Define standards, processes and tools to be used by all internal and external participants working across our programme of projects
    • Design and manage optimal project plans across the programme of work, identifying objectives, deliverables, tasks, deadlines, resource requirements, roles and responsibilities
    • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation on Jira, and ensure that specification documents and agreed work plans are constantly kept up to date

    Key Requirements:

    • 5+ years’ experience as a digital project manager
    • Experienced in project managing the development of data rich business intelligence applications.
    • Ability to liaise with and challenge technical teams regarding online system architecture, application development tasks and technology implementation
    • Experience of Jira
    • Strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively at all levels in a global, multi-cultural environment.

    In this role you will be responsible for driving the implementation, delivery and rollout of a new Global, Interactive, Client-Facing Platform.

    Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer

    Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer Required.

    Our Buckinghamshire based client seeks an experienced Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer with the following must have skills and experience.

    Min of 5-7 Years of commercial experience with the following skills:

    • Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Chef, Git, Scripting languages and Jenkins
    • Platforms: Azure, Linux and Windows Server
    • Middleware Suites: Web Servers (Apache, IIS, Nginx), Oracle Weblogic and Oracle Database.

     

    As a Cloud Operations Automation Engineer you will be expected to:

    • Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all automation items within Cloud Operations
    • Independently gather information from the relevant process owners to design, develop and deploy the maximum possible automation abilities for all possible processes within the Cloud Operations organisation.
    • Make informed decisions based on current practices and processes to choose the most appropriate tools and methods to automate tasks for maximum impact and long-term benefit.
    • Work with the documentation team to ensure suitable documentation is produced for all automation tasks, including where relevant process guides, SOPs and architecture diagrams.
    • Work with the Cloud Solution Architects and with product development architects to drive their future usage of automation in a direction consistent with the cloud operations approach to ensure future product updates work well with our automation strategy and tooling choices
    • Manage updates and revisions to existing automations as needed
    • Provide training, support and guidance to the Cloud Service Center operations teams in using and maintaining the deployed automations and to gather future use cases and enhancements that are exposed through their daily usage of the provided automated functions
