Grounds Maintenance Operative

Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Landscaper/Grounds Maintenance Op ,who are interested in working outdoors and enjoy undertaking manual work in different types of weather.

Responsibilities:

• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, and edging lawns
• Planting flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty for client sites
• Applying fertilizers and pesticides in accordance with safety guidelines
• Removing litter and debris to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment
• Operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment and tools
• Collaborating with team members to prioritise tasks and meet client deadlines
• Upholding our commitment to sustainability and adding value to client sites by recommending enhancements such as Bee hives, Bird Boxes and other ESG initiatives.
• There will also be an element of basic handyman duties, including sign hanging, camera cleaning & basic reporting and as such we are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude, with you wanting to go above and beyond to exceed client expectations.

Requirements:

• Previous proven Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance experience.
• Full driving licence with 6 points or less (preferred)
• Experience of using a range of garden tools & equipment.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• A great eye for detail, with high personal standards.
• Flexibility, reliability and the ability to deliver within the timescales given.
• A friendly and courteous approach.
• Punctuality and a desire to succeed.
• An ability to work autonomously, whilst ensuring your line manager is kept updated on progress.
• A passion for outdoor work and a keen eye for detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-focused attitude.

Job Types: Full-time,

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Gardening: 1 year (preferred)
